The first step in playing Cyberstud Poker is to select your coin size and place your ante bet. The ante bet is one coin and is placed in the Ante circle on the virtual poker table.
After you have placed your ante bet, you receive five cards and the dealer receives one. All of the cards are face up.
After examining your five cards and the dealer's card, you must either fold or call. If you fold, you lose your ante bet. The dealer will then receive four more cards, but this is just for show; your game is already lost and the dealer's cards are irrelevant.
If you call, an additional bet, equal to twice the amount of your ante bet, is placed in the Bet circle on the poker table. If your ante bet was $10, your call bet will automatically be $20.
The dealer will then receive four more cards, and the hands are compared. There are four possible outcomes:
1. The dealer needs at least an Ace-King combination to qualify. If the dealer does not qualify, you win even money on your ante wager, and the call wager is a push. It is important to note that, in the event of the dealer not qualifying, the result is the same regardless of how good or how bad your own hand is.
2. If the dealer qualifies, and your hand beats the dealer's hand, you win even money on your ante bet and you win a payout according to the payout table on your call bet.
3. If the dealer qualifies, and his hand beats your hand, you lose both your ante bet and your call bet.
4. If the dealer qualifies, and the hands tie, both the ante bet and the call bet will push. This means that your bets are returned to you, with nothing lost and nothing gained.
If the dealer qualifies and you beat the dealer, your ante bet pays out even money and your call bet pays out according to the posted payout table. As in most poker variations, a royal flush is the best poker hand in Cyberstud Poker: it pays out an amazing 999 to 1. The full Cyberstud Poker payout table is as follows:

When playing online Cyberstud Poker, you have no control over the cards you are dealt. You do, however, have control over your poker betting strategy. To consistently win at Cyberstud Poker, therefore, you need to fold or to call in the appropriate situations in order to minimize your losses and maximize your winnings.
Optimal Cyberstud Poker strategy calls for following these guidelines:
Progressive Cyberstud Poker is played the same as standard Cyberstud Poker, with one big difference. When you play Progressive Cyberstud Poker, you must make, in addition to your ante bet, a jackpot bet of one credit. (A credit means one unit of your currency, such as one dollar, one Euro, or one pound.) Your jackpot bet feeds into the progressive jackpot, which has no limit. Remember that everyone playing Progressive Cyberstud Poker at Wild Jack or any other Microgaming online poker casino anywhere in the world is feeding the same jackpot. As you can imagine, the progressive jackpot grows quickly and can become quite huge, often reaching into the hundreds of thousands of credits.
If you get a royal flush, you win the entire progressive jackpot. Winning a huge jackpot like that can really be a life-changing experience. If you get a straight flush, you win 20,000 credits from the progressive jackpot. Four of a kind, a full house, and a flush also win prizes from the progressive jackpot.
Remember, your payout from the progressive jackpot is IN ADDITION to your regular payout on your ante and call bets. So let's look at the mathematics of your Progressive Cyberstud Poker winnings. Suppose you are playing in Euros, and you made the mandatory €1 jackpot bet, a €10 ante bet, and a €20 call bet, and you get a straight flush. You win €10 on your ante bet (1:1 payout on a €10 bet), €3,980 on your call bet (199:1 payout on a €20 bet), and €20,000 on your jackpot bet. By any standard, that is quite a haul on a €31 wager on a single hand of cards.
And the payout on a royal flush is even better: €10 on your ante bet (1:1 payout on a €10 bet), €19,980 on your call bet (999:1 payout on a €20 bet), and a hundred thousand Euros or more on your jackpot bet (the full amount of the progressive jackpot as it stands at that time).
With payouts like these, it is easy to understand the appeal and the popularity of Cyberstud Poker and Progressive Cyberstud Poker among online gamblers. It doesn't happen every day, but there is no reason why you cannot be the next big online Cyberstud Poker winner. Good luck playing Cyberstud Poker and Progressive Cyberstud Poker.
