For John Pearcey, rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous is just another day's work. Since he first started working in White Strike Casino, one of Las Vegas' most prestigious establishments as a black jack dealer, John has proved that it's possible to combine work and play into real employment. With a lively atmosphere, great staff benefits and a warm and sociable work team, John's job at the black jack table is the envy of his friends. "Nothing beats the thrill of black jack," he says. "And working as a dealer I get to see other people experiencing the black jack thrill every day. I've seen some very good black jack players and some very bad ones, but the one thing that stands out is the great fun everyone has playing black jack. It's a dream job. I wouldn't swap it for the world."

John's shift patterns vary each week, giving him both day and night hours at the casino. "Working as a black jack dealer may not be the world's most common occupation," says John. "But I always wanted to do something a little out of the ordinary. And even after the thousands of black jack games I've dealt, I can honestly say my one true love remains black jack to this day. Black jack makes my work worthwhile and every day is unique."
